Discrete Cosine Transformation has been use in image compression and signal analysis. This component looks at the possibility to manipulate surface with smooth gradient for evolutionary fitness. The example provide a area finding method but it could easily be adopted for thin shell optimization. But also note large gene pool could lead to false optima. Try things out!
